International celebrity exponents of Dance-drama.
It was by popular demand in Auckland that Indonesian born exponent of
Dance-drama and Film Director LIONG XI (pronounced: Leong
Sea), of Chinese-Dutch
parentage, and New Zealander, FAYE TOHBYN, Dancer/Gymnast, formed their
professional partnership.
In the mid seventies LIONG and FAYE initiated their first nationwide "Dance-drama
in Action" Project which over the years has contributed significantly
to New Zealand’s development and international recognition in the Art of
Dance today.
They are the authors of the book "Turning Point and
Beyond---towards the year 2000", first published in 1979, and
producers of the widely known Dance-drama events, such as

Their work in the Arts, an eloquent expression of their enduring
dedication to the development of International Human Relations, Wellbeing and
care of our global Environment, resulted in the establishment of the LIONG
& FAYE COMMUNITY BENEFIT TRUST INC. 1989.
The jubilant New Zealand Wake-up Call
Dance formed part of their MILLENNIUM PROJECT 2000, and
provided the
opportunity for us all to welcome the world to the New Beginning wherever we
were in the Millennium year 2000.
