...I commend Liong and Faye for their enthusiasm and innovation in their New Zealand Millennium Wake-up Call to the world...
The dance that has been produced..is designed to say good morning to the world from the first children in the world to greet the new Millennium. It is hoped the dance will be taken on as part of the Health and Physical Education Curriculum in schools as they design their own events to celebrate the new Millennium.

...I think a very important aspect of the Millennium Wake-up Call project is its ability to capture the imagination of children and young people, and connect many people with the excitement of the new millennium. The dawn of the new century offers us a wonderful opportunity to celebrate together as a community and I look forward to following the progress of your great idea. |

...For New Zealand, the opportunity to be the first country and people to welcome the Millennium is very special. To do this in the universal language of dance and with the universal treasure of children is even more special.
This project, initiated by Faye and Liong, is for all of us! |
